Semi-annual update

geekmomLet's see, the girly girl started an intro to piano class on Monday. It's only for the week. We'll see how she does. She did play me Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star last night, so I have hope she might get this whole music thing. She's also got a couple of dress patterns to sew this summer. One of them involves ruffling. We'll do the easy sew pattern first.
We've been horribly neglectful and have not signed her up for swim classes. We probably should, but it's probably just as well with as crappy as the weather has been. They teach summer classes mostly mornings in the outdoor pool, and it's been cold enough for light jackets three times this week.
Need to take the boy swimming again, too. I'm working on his not-hanging-on-to-me-like-a-terrified-koala-bear skill. Once he has that mastered, we might get to some kicking, water treading, and front and back floating.
The boy starts preschool again today. Summer school is super short. It's going to be over before the end of this month, and then there will be two weeks of summer camp and... nothing until fall.
